Although I am not married to Anthony (Peg's son) I called her my mother in law.
I have only met Peg once and that was in MArch of this year but I have been on the phone 3-4 times a week for the past 5 years.
What a character,she was such a lovely woman,with Peg what you saw was what you got,she did'nt mince her words,if she had something to say,she said it !Before I actually met Peg I had people telling me she was a fierce woman,they actually dreaded her,but I felt I'd known her all my life,talking to her on the phone,she was ,as I called her "My back up buddy" (she know's what that means)god how I miss her now,I miss hearing"Hello Tish,how are ya girleen".
When we went home in March,Anthony got on the plane with me,he is very nervous of flying and when I told Peg this she made me promise to go on the boat the next time I came to see her with Anthony,well I kept my promise, I did go on the boat,only it was for to go home to bury you,when we got to Maggie,s and I walked in the door thats when it hit me,I wanted to see you walk into the kitchen and give me a hug like you did in March,but you were gone girl and I wont see you again,but Peg,I will NEVER forget you,and I will always keep my promise to you (Anthony !!) so now you are up there with your Brian and John so keep an eye on us down here and watch over Maggie,she is heartbroken without you,the next time I go to Dungarvan I will go to John Doyles and have a few games for you and I will call up to you at Ballinroad for a chat alright girl,I still watch Deal or no Deal now and again for you,Anthony was over the moon on Tuesday night,Bubbly Totti won the St.Ledger finals,what a night,we were on the telly,the racing post the lot,the champagne was flowing mad,but he was on the Lucozade ha,ha but I had a couple of vodka's and then home,up for work the next day.. for now Peg,godbless girl, miss you a lot xx thinking of you Tish" xx

I put the photo of you wearing your cardigan,when you came to see us off outside Lawlor's that day,thats the last time I saw you,waving good-bye,waiting until we got on the coach (Make sure Anthony did'nt do a u-turn to Tommy Power's ha,ha)
Thinking of the cardi,it makes me laugh,when we came to see you at Drone's, you were wearing that cardi,and Anthony looked at you and says" I'm sure she's winking at me" ! xxx
